Crafting with Suite Collections: Tips and Ideas

When we designed and curated these Suite Collections, we did so with the idea that our experienced crafters could use them to create truly remarkable final products using coordinated products. Of course, the fun part of our job is to sit back and watch our advanced crafters take the Suite Collections and run! We have a few ideas to get your creative ideas flowing. 

Many of our stamp sets have the option to use the Two-Step Stampin’ technique, allowing you to layer colors (either complimentary or monochromatic) to bring depth to your stamped image, like the Flowers of Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set in the Unbounded Beauty Suite Collection. Our favorite way to two-step stamp a flower is to choose two similar colors and use those to add the depth of color we see in real flowers. Stamp with one lighter shade for the base and add a darker shade for the detail. 

Another option is to pick one ink color, ink the solid flower, stamp off on scratch paper, and stamp again without reinking on your project. Then, use the detail layer, ink the stamp, and stamp on top of the flower base (without stamping off on scratch paper first). One ink pad—two shades!

To add some flair, use the Iridescent Faceted Gems to bring the glitz and glam to your next shaker card. Use a vibrant Designer Series Paper from the collection, then add the sparkle of the gems to the window, creating a shimmering effect when you move the card. 

Use your watercolor blending tool to add dimension to your project using the In Color™ inks that coordinate with your Suite Collection.
